CBRMTG’s Format Shifted Series – Legacy Maverick with Dougal Warby

Format Shifted is a series created by CBRMTG [Canberra Magic the Gathering] showing players how they can upgrade their existing deck to enter a new format. This series is one of my favourite pieces of online content as it gives the player a clear understanding of how easy it could be to jump from the Modern to Legacy format.

In the deck tech below we cover Modern’s Value Town and Vizier of Remedies combo deck and how these GW based decks can quite easily transition into Legacy Maverick with only a few changes. GW Hatebears is also a great ‘brother’ archetype of Legacy Maverick and has many similar attributes (mainly the abundance of hatebears that pressure your opponent’s game plan).
